I was very overweight from a young age, learning a great deal from the derogatory comments and associated issues. In my early 20s, I decided to do something about it, and have never looked back since. With weight loss and improved fitness, I found self confidence, self esteem and most importantly, learned to be happy with myself and who I am.

In my late 30s, I was diagnosed with cancer. Exercise – together with the understanding of what my body was capable of – gave me all the inner and outer strength I needed to get her through, and to continue to push myself to new limits and new strengths. It also taught me that life really is too short, and decided to make my passion her career. I put myself through an intensive course to become an advanced personal trainer.

With this background, it is really important for me to be able to make it happen for my clients and reach those goals in a fun, encouraging and positive environment.
